Mean Lemons

Who knew that lemons can be so aggressive! As you can see from my past three posts, the lemons have chased away all of the cherries. Now they are after the little, fragile glass vase. Time to make lemonade.

Boxed In

This square glass bowl is so fun to paint. I thought it worked great with the juicy, round cherries. It looks to me like the lemon slices were threatening the cherries so they jumped in to the bowl for safety. What do you think happened to the cherry that did not make it into the bowl?!

Beach Day 535

Life is good when you can spend a sunny day at the beach. The warming gulf waters and a light breeze make walking in the surf a pleasure. One of my happy places.

Lunch Buddy

I am very luck to be able to get to the beach and have lunch several days a week Every time I do, several of these birds are also enjoying their lunch.

My Favorite Time

My Favorite Time at the beach is just around sunset. There is such an array of colors changing from minute to minute. I hope you enjoy this warm beach evening.

Large Callie

This is a larger painting of my friends cat. I have painted a 6"x6" of this kitty. That painting is sold (thank you Joan!). This is such a cool cat, I thought she need a larger, full body painting.

Along the Wall

Summer vacation is over and is now time to get back to the hard work of playing with paint! It has been a little to hot to get outside to capture the landscape. Fall will bring new opportunities.

Back Gate

The ornamental grass lit up by the sun make it appear almost white. This along with the pathway leading to the gate made a great garden scene.

Question Mark

This garden sidewalk looked like an upside down question mark to me. Where does it lead?

Japanese Maple

Garden Corner

The shadow side of the wall and the varied colors of green attracted me to this little scene.

What's Behind the Wall?

I find walls and gates mysterious and interesting. Who lives there? What is behind the gate? There were some pretty orange flowers just peeking through this gate.

Step to the Past

This is my final painting from Morgan Samuel Price's plein air workshop at an old estate near Jacksonville, Florida. You will not be seeing my earlier paintings from Morgan's workshop since I was stretching my artistic abilities, learning and failing. This painting worked so I guess you can say failing teaches us what we need to know. Let me know what you think of my new talents.
