Back Gate

The ornamental grass lit up by the sun make it appear almost white. This along with the pathway leading to the gate made a great garden scene.

Question Mark

This garden sidewalk looked like an upside down question mark to me. Where does it lead?

Japanese Maple

I saw this red Japanese maple among  all of the greenery and the hard edges of the gate. I couldn't resist :-)

Garden Corner

The shadow side of the wall and the varied colors of green attracted me to this little scene.

What's Behind the Wall?

I find walls and gates mysterious and interesting. Who lives there? What is behind the gate? There were some pretty orange flowers just peeking through this gate.

My Backyard

Summer in my backyard. The trees are dressed in their new leaves, the knockout roses are in bloom and the day lilies have put on their sunny smiles. Not to mention the various grasses that make everything a bit wild and unpredictable. Now, if the birds would just share a few of my blueberries with me........

Step to the Past

This is my final painting from Morgan Samuel Price's plein air workshop at an old estate near Jacksonville, Florida. You will not be seeing my earlier paintings from Morgan's workshop since I was stretching my artistic abilities, learning and failing. This painting worked so I guess you can say failing teaches us what we need to know. Let me know what you think of my new talents.

Blueberries and Melon

It is summer and I love fresh fruit. Sometimes I even have enough self control to paint it before eating.  Couldn't resist the combination of orange and blue.

Ready For My Close Up

Little orange bird wanted a painting of just him. He was tired of sharing the spot light. I had to obliged.

Dogwood I

This past spring I took a series of photos of dogwood tree blooms. I love their swoopy, almost abstract petals.

My Boy

Meet Marley! My husband and I went to Animal Care in Greenville, SC. and signed up for their BFF program. An artist friend of mine, Jennifer, told me about this program after one of our fur babies went to the "Rainbow Bridge". It took several months but we finally got a call to come and see a recent arrival. He is so sweet, we fell in love with him right away. Even fussy Corkie, our Yorkie, didn't pitch a fit. Love this little guy,

Poser

This is my friend Michelle Wilson Harris's cat. She was kind enough to pose for me when I stopped by. But, of course, Miss Kitty did not want to appear too excited. She is beautiful, isn't she?

Tug

I saw this hard working tug boat in the waterways of Florida just as it was passing under a bridge.

The Other Side

This is the side garden of the house with the red door. I thought it was a little unruly but fun!

Dry Dock

I find it a little sad to see boats out of the water. My husband and I have had many hours of fun in our boat on the water, both in New York and Florida. Not much fun in the boat on dry land. Probably because we were usually cleaning or fixing something.
